Smart Money
My Smart Money Initiative originated from wondering why students from international schools have consistently struggled with irrational spending.
By designing a survey and analyzing over 300 responses, I found that personal choices, social interactions, and a supportive environment to control impulsive spending could address this challenge. Furthermore, nearly 90% of respondents expressed a willingness to redirect their savings toward charity.
Among the four charitable areas, animal welfare and stray animal protection emerged as the most popular choice. Building on this preference and the growing interest in pet companionship, I decided to connect my findings with my long-term involvement in animal welfare and collaborate with Heshan Companion Animal Adoption Day.

Regret Fund
Following my findings from the Smart Money project, I decided to launch Regret Fund as a new solution to address impulsive behaviors while aiming to guide more people, beyond international students, to track their expenses more mindfully and redirect their savings to support charitable initiatives.
By volunteering for Heshan Companion Animal Adoption Day, a prominent initiative in China for saving stray animals, for more than four years, I have collaborated with this initiative to support more sick, elderly, and disabled stray animals. We have also continued to host large offline pop-up events to raise public awareness of stray animal care and protection.
